Night Diver is the solo music project of cellist Emily Williams, where the cello remains at the heart of every composition, enhanced by layered textures of effected cello, sampled glass, steel, piano, and voice.

Through intricate layering of cello and shimmering electronics, Night Diver’s music slowly unfolds, evoking a sense of anticipation, longing, and contemplative stillness. Emotionally resonant, the compositions revolve around evolving motifs, blending atmospheric low-end drones, moody melodic fragments, and airy, experimental minimalism.

Past performances have taken place in extraordinary settings—caves in the UK, France, and Greece; outdoor amphitheatres; elevated viewing platforms; and other acoustically rich and unusual spaces that amplify the music’s immersive quality.

Live shows are paired with mesmerising visual projections, featuring deep-sea creatures, the aurora borealis, and time-lapse imagery of bioluminescent organisms, creating an experience that is both auditory and visual, drawing audiences into Night Diver’s atmospheric world.
