Night Diver is the solo music project of cello player Emily Williams.
Her main instrument remains at the centre, augmented by multi layered sounds of effected cello, sampled glass, steel, piano and voice.
The multiple layers of cello and shimmering electronics are slowly interwoven evoking anticipation, longing, and stillness.
The music is emotionally charged with revolving melodic lines which drift around a motif of atmospheric, low end drone-like ambience, disquieting moody melodies & airy experimental minimalism.
Previous performances have included of caves of UK, France, Greece, Australia, outdoor amphitheatres, viewing platforms and other unusual settings
or acoustically resonant intriguing spaces.
Live performances are set to projected visuals of deep sea creatures, the aurora borealis and time lapse footage of organisms and bioluminescence.
